The past year also saw the completion of Kevin Quaranta’s term as President of the Bronx County Bar Association, his election as officer of the Fordham Law School Westchester-Putnam Alumni Association, and as delegate to the New York State Bar Association. Kevin continues his second elected term as a Judge in the Town of Bedford, New York. Quaranta & Associates is also proud of the work of partner, Merryl F. Weiner, for her continued leadership of the Westchester Chapter of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association. Merryl has further opened her practice to not only the representation of negligence and malpractice victims, but also to those seeking Matrimonial and Family Law representation. In this area, we are also pleased to be working with our long time colleague, Sergio Villaverde, Esq., with offices in Manhattan, and our Senior Associate, Beverly McGrath, a lawyer experienced in women’s issues.

With great sadness to our firm and to those who knew him, we said goodbye in 2008 to Walter A. Begos, Esq. Walter was our friend, mentor in our medical negligence cases, and beloved by all lawyers and judges who knew him for almost a fifty year career in the law. In honor of Walter, our firm is foregoing this year’s traditional holiday party and contributing instead to the Fordham University School of Law for a scholarship fund in Walter’s memory. Donations can be made to the Fordham Law School honoring Walter Begos in care of our offices.
