What does a trial lawyer do?

A trial lawyer represents individuals and small business owners in litigation matters. These matters can include medical malpractice actions, consumer law complaints, premises liability cases, personal injury cases, and business disputes to name a few.

Does it cost anything to speak to an attorney?

In personal injury actions, medical malpractice actions and wrongful death actions, there is never any charge to you unless and until we collect money for you. Upon settling a case or after securing a jury verdict, our legal fees will be paid. This is known as contingency fee, our fee is contingent upon our recovery of money for you. If you do not see any money, we do not see any money. That is just one more reason you can trust that we will work as hard as possible to get you as much money as possible.

What is a tort?

A tort is a civil wrong. Civil wrongdoers who refuse to accept responsibility for their conduct will be held accountable by your attorneys and the court system. Accountability includes a monetary payment by either the individual or insurance company. In resolving a matter it often requires an attorney to make sure that the injured person is treated honestly and fairly.

What is tort reform?

Tort reform is the effort by civil wrongdoers to avoid responsibility for their acts. Civil wrongdoers give large sums of money to politicians to pass laws that give them special protection, usually at the expense of consumers. It is up to the lawyers and the consumers to make sure that the repsponible party takes responsibility or the consumers and injured persons will never be protected
